4th of July hits this Canadian Household!

So I've neglected the blog, I've neglected cleaning the house, I've neglected leaving feedback, I'm even neglecting packing for my upcoming move (Eeeek, only 2 weeks away!!) BUT, I won't let a holiday pass me by :)

I just finished 4 new Penny Pants for 4th of July, to complement this dress that I finished yesterday....

Here's a sneak peak at the pants....There's a size 18-24m, 2T, 3T and 4T in this pile. It doesn't look like much, does it? LOL....but they took a lot of time!!

Uploading them to my etsy shop between 10-11am PST :)

While I'm here on the blog, remember the Fugly Knit swap I participated in? I turned this pile of knit into a two piece halter set.....




Well, I also sent this bunch of hideousness.....



to Olivia at the fabulous and always sold out Olivia's Ultimate and finally got pictures of Finley in it today!!! (Notice she was unable to use our tie dye, which I am oh so thankful for ;)

Any outfit that can make my less than active and coordinated girl scream "Hey, I think I can do ballet in this outfit!!" is a massive winner in my books!! Look at her go!!!

So Finley's Book Party Planning is a go....

It better be, it's only 10 days away!! The awesome news? I hired a storyteller!!! She is a librarian in Riverside that comes out to the desert and is apparently a phenomenal storyteller! Yay!! She's thinking of making the book theme about water, (and maybe frogs) and I like the idea, it being so hot here, we could all use some water stories. :)

I bought these amazing looking blank board books for the little party guests as a craft activity.



I need your help though....what do you think we should do with them? Should I pre-set up collage pieces and pictures for them? Should we ask the kids (4 and under) to draw their own story? Should I write a story in them that they get to draw? Should I just plop them down in front of them and say "GO!"?? I need your help, what do you think we should do with them?

The Penny Pant is here!

I'm way behind on my blogging. And there is good reason for it! I've been contemplating my blog direction, and I have an idea that I have been wanting to do for a loooong time, but not so sure I can keep up with it!! Soooooo...I'm stalling. I'm really, really good at that. Oh, but Finley is way better :)

Anyhow, I figured the blog must break the Penny pant news. I am so excited about this style! I realized that Finley, a soon to be 4 year old, STILL wears her 24 month Old Navy knit pants (um, now as shorts to sleep in) and I looove that. How do pants last so long? Elastic waistband (which I too am thankful for on my Old Navy shorts after late night snacking ;). Kids don't get wider, they just get more narrow and tall, making the Penny pant perfect for YEARS!

Finley loves them and is designing her own pair....stay tuned!! :)
